Marvel Toys

I just came from the comic store, with my boys and we came back with two spiderman anti-stress. They're fan of Spiderman, but they choosed Spidey over Iron man because it looks nicer. You can choose between Spiderman,Iron man, Hulk and Wolverine but the truth, and I quote my son "except Spiderman, the rest are quite ugly". Anyway, let's see how long they're going to last... I may even use it myself sometimes.

I can't believe it! The toy didn't even make a full hour!!!! This is crap...now I'm a bit frustated, so is my son...how ironic...so much for an anti stress toy...

pw assignments: bug

The assignement of this week are bugs and creepy-crawly things. And this picture of this little snail is just perfect as it's been raining for days, and it remind me that french little kiddy song "il pleut il mouille, c'est la faute à la grenouille, l'eau tombe à flot, c'est la faute à l'escargot" which would mean something like" it's raining, it's wet, it's the frog fault, heavy rainfall it's the snail's fault!"

Cogí esta foto hace unos meses en el jardín Botanico de Gijón. No conseguí a la primera lo que quiería, porque esos champiñones estaban un poco lejos, pero al final allí estan. Me recuerdan a unas casitas de hadas.

I took this picture fews month ago in the Jardín Botanico of Gijón, it took me ages to take the right shoot, because it's was very far, and I did it the default zoom of the camera, which it's rather pretty good (well, for me I'm just an amateur, don't know to much about it). Those mushrooms remind me of little fairies houses I used to draw.

Lately, when I do the color it's with traditional medium, I thought it would be nice to it digitally - which come pretty handy, as it's been a while since I used photoshop.

observing details

Os presento a Muxin, uno de mis gatos. Mi gatos son tremendamente guapos pero incrediblemente peresozos... Normalmente, cuando se mira a esta foto, solo se nota sus ojos azul, y no se ve los detalles. Por eso, tomo muchas fotos -decir mucho es poco- para estudiar luego los detalles, es un ejercicio para fijarme en lo menos obvio...

This is Muxin, one of my two lazy but gorgeous cats. Have you notice his big blues eyes? Well, I guess that the one thing you notice, when you look at this picture. One of the reason, I take a lot of pictures, and I do mean a L-O-T, it's to study them to see the little details that I didn't notice, that's an exercise that I do regularly, it helps me when I have to draw....

My first copics

I 've never been a fan of markers until recently. I always thought it was limited , that you couldn't do to much with, I know it's silly but for me markers always been a thing for been for pre-school.. Until I discover few month ago, the website of Mary Engelbreit, I was amazed to learn that she uses marker, at one point in her blog she talks about copics , so I decided that I will give a go. But in my town, there's no shops selling those copics, but I did buy some promarkers . And boy, was I wrong, there are endless ways to use markers, I just love it. Last month for my birthday , my hubby offered me some copics that he bought in the States, I was very happy but I was in middle of big project and there were absolutely no time to grab a marker and doodle. It's only almost 1 month later that I've been able to use it, I was getting desperate! But I must admit there were worth the wait, using them it's delightful, between the copic and the copic sketch, I prefer the last one, it seems to be smoother. And Ilike the fact that I can mix up the copics with the promarkers, even the blender pen.

Working with pens

Lately, I've been working a lot with pens, which is medium that I barely use. I'm using Faber Castell , I love using those pens, but I'm probably going to have to retouch it digitally, as in the big areas it looks more like dark grey rather than black. I may borrow the Rotring of my lovely hubby, to give it a try...

Fosco shop window gijon

I was looking through all my pics and I found back this one that I took this november. I was walking through the center when I saw the new window shop of Fosco, I love it, it was nice. I found it very trendy.

New Blog and new Website

Oh my gosh, it has been a while since I post over here. Well, my new website launched since this summer, still need some little works but is now out there in the net. And I launched a blog, where you can find my updated, but also others things about illustrator,designers,crafts,inpirations...

sweet time

This one of the illustrations done for a custom work. I really enjoy doing it, it's fun drawing little girls, cakes, sweet and a bunch of girly stuff.

New illustration . Seriously, who never had , at least once in his working life, to go through this situation??? Try to keep it cool while your boss is yelling like a mad cow?

Anyway on a better note, it's Carnival, so everything supposed to be joyful, fun and yummy. Over here this holiday is called Antroxu, I love this time of the year, kids are happy as they can be dressed the way they want: so far I've been the mom of a clown, a wizard, Captain America, Batman and Ben 10. In less than 3 days they used 5 disguises!!! Next year, the all family is supposed to be dressed up as the superheroes family, that's going to be funny

Ana the red

Who said that cooking isn't a art? I found  the blog of Ana the red while surfing in the net, and I just couldn't take off my eyes out of it, and pretty sure that my little boy would love it but I am not going to show him as he's probably going to wonder why his food doesn't look like and anyways how am I going to be able to eat cuties like this?? Is so cute...

vieux choco mini paper set in action

I like to try the product that I design in order to see what can be done, check that it's alright. And now I start designing some scrap paper set and a little problem although I'm big fan of scrap paper, I'm not that good when it comes to actually do some scrapbooking, at least nothing that I would dare to show, then I remember that scrap paper are not only good for scrapbooking but for any paper craft so, here it goes: a little matching box that would be perfect for a baby tag, a little box that I filled with some sweet candy and a card. I had a lot fun doing them, I even did those roses with some wool felt.

J'aime bien essayer les produits que je crée, afin de voir ce qui peut être fait, vérifier que c'est bien fait. Et lorsque j'ai créer un mini set de papier pour scrapbooking, je me suis retrouvée avec un léger problème bien que je sois une adepte au papier je ne suis vraiment pas doué en scrapbooking ou du moins je n'oserai pas montrer ce que je fais vu toutes les merveilles qu'on trouve sur le net, c'est alors que je me suis souvenue que l'avantage du papier de scrapbooking c'est qu'il peut servir à bien d'autres chose: par exemple une petite "boîte "d'allumette (matching box) qui pourrait servir comme une etiquette pour bébé, une boîte que j'ai remplie de dragée -parfait pour mariage ou communion- et une petite carte. Je me suis beaucoup à les faire, j'ai même fait les roses avec de la feutrine.

shopping

This week I went to do some shopping at Women's secret. The initial plan was to get myself one of those pack of boxes , they didn't have so I end up with those bag, I really love the patterns and and really pratical,perfect size for my watercolors pencils :). Oh and one thing that I first almost freak me out the first time, you can see the eyes in the dark and wasn't expecting that nor my baby boy...lol

birthday party card

A yummy pink birthday card, with cupcake, perfect for birthday invitation or any party that your little girl is up to . This card fit a A2 envelope. You can find that design but in different version (without the circle) at  mygrafico.

Baby blue card

The great thing with digital card background , beside being cheap and being able able to print as much as you want, is that you can do it the way you want, with any kind of paper -that your printer allowed-. Here an example, made with the design, that made few month ago ,  blue baby card , I cut the edge round so it will look softer.
